It’s so hard keeping up with all these travel regulations and rules so recently when I was going to Panama my colleague couldn’t go on our business trip his passport did not meet 6 month validity rule.
I was like how does that happen but realize it could happen to anyone. It almost happened to me. My daughters passport expires March we are traveling to Trinidad in December.
Lucky for us we have dual citizenship. But there are also ESTAs visas etc. that also expire. How do you remember all these dates?
Six month validity requirements seems to be the standard validity requirement for many countries.
Why six month? The six month validity rule is enforced because nations do not want to risk having travelers and tourists overstaying their passport validity.
My travel tip now is make sure you put all these expiry dates ie. US visa, estas, passports 8 months in advance in your calendar.
